Creekside Firing Range
This course will teach the defensive use of the shotgun.
We’ll cover the following topics:
Parts, characteristics, accessories and operation of the defensive shotgun
Shotgun zones of effectiveness
Several different carry techniques, different shooting positions
Malfunctions and continuation techniques, reloading
Close quarter shooting and moving, transitions to handgun
One hand operation, weak side shooting
Use of the shotgun in low light
Equipment needed
Defense type shotgun with SLING
Spare ammunition carrier
250 rounds of birdshot, 10 slugs and 10 “00” buck
Defensive Flashlight
Defensive handgun 1 spare magazine, holster and 100 rounds of ammo
Ear and eye protection (clear for after dark) and Hat, Water bottle
